Day Trip, Private Tour

Offer Image
Ascend the Acropolis hill to explore its iconic landmarks, enjoy captivating views of the Corinth Canal and more on this private Athens tour.

Explore the Acropolis, Ancient Corinth, and more when you embark on this epic private tour in Athens. You'll get roundtrip transportation via a private motorcoach and an expert tour guide who will take you on a tour of the Acropolis to see landmarks like the Propylaea as well as a tour of the Corinth Museum and the ancient capital city of Corinth. Your tour also includes scenic drives along the Saronic Gulf and through Athens suburbs, where you'll pass iconic landmarks like the Panathinion Stadium and Hadrian's Arch. You'll also get to see captivating views of the Corinth Canal from a bridge and get treated to a delicious Greek lunch with delicious wines and mineral water to quench your thirst, making this an ideal excursion for cultural connoisseurs!

Start your quest by leaving the historic Piraeus port with your private tour guide and board a comfortable motorcoach as you travel through the suburbs of Athens to the Acropolis, an archaeological site known for architectural masterpieces created during Greece's Golden Age. Ascend up the winding pathway to see the Propylaea Entrance and go on a guided tour that takes you to view the Temple of the Wingless Victory and the prized gem of Greece: the Parthenon, a 5th-century B.C.-built temple that served as a temple that features Classical and Doric-style architecture. You'll also get to view the architectural glory of the Erectheum, an ancient temple dedicated to the Greek goddess and god Athena and Poseidon that features a porch with six Ionic columns depicted as women known as the Porch of Maidens. After the guided tour, you'll head back to the bus and go on a scenic driving tour, where you'll get to see other popular Athens attractions, including the neoclassical architecture of the National Library and Parliament building in Constitution Square, the gorgeous landscapes of the National Gardens, and the Panathenaic Stadium, the first modern Olympics' birthplace.

After your scenic drive, you'll break to dine on delicious local Greek food. Once your stomach is full, you'll hop on your motorcoach to take a scenic drive along the Saronic Gulf as you make your way to the Corinth Canal. This epic 24 feet deep canal stretches for four miles and spans 72 feet wide. While there were many attempts to build this iconic canal, it wasn't until the 19th century that construction was completed. You'll stop at the bridge that suspends 200 feet over the canal to see all its glory, so get your camera ready for getting spectacular skyline and water views.

Next, head to the Isthmia Pier, where you'll find the entrance to the Corinth Canal and begin your guided tour of the galleries and collections dating back to prehistoric times at the Corinth Museum. Your private tour guide will also show you around Ancient Corinth, the ancient capital city, and former citadel of Corinth, where you'll see iconic landmarks like the Fountain of Glauke and the Apollo Temple. Wrap up your tour and explore the nearby souvenir shops before heading back to your pier on a scenic one-hour drive.

From exploring Greece's Golden Age architectural masterpieces of the Acropolis, to beholding panoramic views of the Corinth Canal, this tour offers much to see and do. Reserve your spot now on this private guided tour and get ready to see the best landmarks and more in Athens!
